Maria Gomes holds a BSBA from Western New England College and an MBA from Western New England College.

Ms. Gomes has extensive experience in taxation, estate planning and business valuations.  She is involved in litigation support services, serving as an expert witness and assisting counsel in tax-related and accounting issues.  Ms. Gomes area of expertise lies in tax planning and consulting for businesses and high-wealth individuals, business combinations, reorganizations, liquidations and estate planning.  Ms. Gomes also has over fifteen years of teaching experience in all disciplines of accounting.  She has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels at several local colleges and universities.

Ms. Gomes is a member of the MA Society of CPA’s and a fellow of the American Institute of CPA’s.  She is an honored member of Who’s Who Among Outstanding Americans, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in American Women.  She was selected as an Heroines of 2021 by the Massachusetts Commission of the Status of Women.

Ms. Gomes is also highly involved in community work and has served on several non-profit organization boards including the Board of Governors for the Wing Memorial Hospital, The Ludlow Chamber of Commerce, The Ludlow Boys and Girls Club and Community Center and is currently Chairman of the Board of the Luso Federal Credit Union and the Community Financial Services Center at Luso Federal, Inc.  She also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Lusitania Institute and has served as the Governor Appointed Member of the WMECO by Governor William Weld.

Ms. Gomes is a trustee for The Joseph and Anna C. Dias. Jr Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that has provided millions of dollars through grants and donations focused on youth and the local community.
